Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans have become the first two-team of the current IPL to book their place in IPL Playoff 2022. Lucknow Super Giants is the newcomer, and after fronting several losses & wins against many teams, the LSG has successfully made its place in the playoff. As per the 2022 records, the team has defeated Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capital twice and won over Punjab Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Chennai Super Kings. Match Preview- LSG VS KKR
LSG VS KKR was the most crucial match for Lucknow Super Giants. It was the match that was expected to decide the fate of LSG to reach in the IPL 2022 Playoffs. Moreover, it was one of the most thrilling matches ever seen in IPL as a new entrant defeated the two times winner by two runs. LSG was the first to bat and could score 210 runs in 20 overs without losing any wickets.
KKR would have also won this match, but the excellent steps that LSG took were to start taking wickets and overall took eight wickets throughout the game:
- Venkatesh Iyer from KKR got out and could not score a single run at three balls. Later, Abhishek Tomar also got out of the match at zero runs.
- Shreyas, the skipper of KKR, scored 50 and was caught out by Deepak Hooda.
- There came a moment when KKR needed 21 runs in 6 balls, and LSG players struggled to win the game.

Playoff Strategy
Gautam Gambhir, the mentor of Lucknow Super Giants, was furious when the team lost the match by 62 runs against the Gujarat Titans and addressed the players in the dressing room by giving a solid speech. Gambhir motivated the group and stated that one team might lose, and the other may win. This is what cricket is all about, but the team must bounce back to remain in the tournament as there is no place for a weak team in any sport. His speech worked, and the team registered a victory in the game.

Player to watch in Playoffs
Batting: KL Rahul is undoubtedly an excellent player and has good batting command. He seems confident with the decisions he made as a skipper. Rahul has scored 537 runs in his last 14 matches.
Quinton de Kock, a South African cricketer, has benefitted LSG by assuring his presence on the field. He has also played the crucial role of opener and wicketkeeper and has scored 502 runs in 14 matches.
Deepak Hooda has also scored 406 runs in the 14 matches and proved to be a bonus player of LSG.
Bowling: Mohsin Khan made his entry late in IPL; still, he made an impressive performance and took 13 wickets in 8 matches.
Kamran Khan is also considered an excellent bowler who has already taken 17 wickets in his 12 matches. He also made his entry a bit late in IPL 2022.
